Parma Clima are the 2026 Serie A Baseball champions. The historic Italian club defeated San Marino 9-0 in Game 5 of the Italian Baseball Series to complete a 4-1 series victory and secure the 12th Scudetto in franchise history. Robel García was named Finals MVP after hitting three home runs during Parma’s championship run.

Parma Clima completed its journey to the 2026 Serie A Baseball championship in emphatic fashion, shutting out San Marino 9-0 in Game 5 at Serravalle and bringing the Italian Baseball Series to an end with four consecutive victories.

After losing the opening game of the best-of-seven championship series, Parma responded like a champion. The club won Games 2, 3, 4 and 5, turning an early 1-0 series deficit into a convincing 4-1 Italian Baseball Series triumph.

The championship gives Parma its 12th Italian baseball title, further strengthening the club’s position among the most successful organizations in the history of Italian baseball.

While the Scudetto belonged to the entire Parma roster, one player produced several of the defining offensive moments of the championship series.

Robel García was named MVP of the 2026 Italian Baseball Series, completing a remarkable Finals performance highlighted by three home runs in three consecutive Parma victories.

Parma Clima Wins 12th Italian Baseball Championship

The decisive Game 5 demonstrated Parma’s superiority on both sides of the ball.

Parma defeated San Marino 9-0, collecting 13 hits while its pitching staff completed a championship-clinching shutout. The offense established control immediately, scoring in each of the first three innings.

Parma opened the scoring in the first inning before adding three runs in the second and another in the third to take a 5-0 advantage.

The early lead allowed Parma to control the remainder of the game before three additional runs in the sixth inning and another in the eighth completed the 9-0 final score.

Starting pitcher Claudio Scotti delivered one of Parma’s most important performances of the season. Scotti worked six scoreless innings, allowing only four hits and one walk while recording four strikeouts.

Matteo Bocchi followed out of the bullpen before Parma completed the shutout and began its championship celebrations in San Marino.

The victory officially made Parma Clima the 2026 Serie A Baseball champion.

2026 Italian Baseball Series Results

Parma’s championship was especially impressive because San Marino had taken the opening game of the series.

San Marino won Game 1 at the Nino Cavalli Stadium by a 5-3 score, immediately putting Parma under pressure.

Parma responded dramatically.

In Game 2, the offense exploded for a 15-8 victory, evening the series before it moved to Serravalle.

From that point forward, Parma did not lose again.

The three victories in San Marino demonstrated Parma’s ability to win different types of games.

Game 3 required a late comeback and a decisive ninth-inning home run. Game 4 featured another comeback after Parma fell behind early. Game 5 was completely different, with Parma taking control almost immediately and never allowing San Marino back into the contest.

That versatility ultimately separated the new Italian champions from their opponents.

Robel García Named 2026 Italian Baseball Series MVP

Robel García emerged as the offensive symbol of Parma’s championship and was rewarded with the 2026 Italian Baseball Series Finals MVP award.

García hit three home runs during the championship series, with all three coming in consecutive Parma victories.

More importantly, each home run arrived in an important situation.

In Game 3, Parma entered the ninth inning tied 5-5. Manuel Geraldo reached base before García delivered one of the biggest swings of the entire season.

The switch-hitting infielder launched a two-run home run in the ninth inning, giving Parma a 7-5 advantage.

Bocchi protected the lead in the bottom half, giving Parma its second victory of the series and a 2-1 advantage.

García’s home run was his 13th of the 2026 season.

García Sparks Parma Comeback in Game 4

One night later, García again changed the direction of the game with one swing.

Parma trailed San Marino 4-1 in the fifth inning when Gabriele Angioi reached base and Geraldo drew a walk.

García followed with a three-run home run to right field, immediately tying the game at 4-4.

The homer completely changed the momentum of Game 4.

Parma eventually completed the comeback and won 10-7, taking a commanding 3-1 series lead and moving within one victory of the Scudetto.

It was García’s 14th home run of the season and his second homer in consecutive Finals games.

Third Home Run Helps Parma Clinch Championship

García completed his remarkable Finals sequence in Game 5.

Parma already held a 2-0 advantage in the second inning when Geraldo singled. García stepped to the plate and drove another pitch out of the ballpark for a two-run home run.

The blast increased Parma’s lead to 4-0 and placed San Marino in a major early deficit.

With Scotti dominating on the mound, Parma never allowed the defending hosts to recover.

The home run was García’s third of the Italian Baseball Series and his third in three consecutive Parma victories.

Across those three home runs, García directly produced seven runs, making him one of the central figures in Parma’s championship.

Robel García’s Championship Series

García’s impact can be summarized by three decisive swings:

• Game 3: Two-run home run in the ninth inning breaks a 5-5 tie.
• Game 4: Three-run home run erases a 4-1 deficit.
• Game 5: Two-run home run helps Parma build an early 4-0 lead in the championship clincher.

The sequence demonstrated exactly why García received the Finals MVP award.

His home runs did not come when games were already decided. They repeatedly changed the score and momentum at critical stages of the series.

Parma’s Investment in García Pays Off

Parma signed García ahead of the 2026 season to add experience, power and defensive versatility to its roster.

The Dominican-born infielder arrived with an extensive professional résumé that included Major League Baseball experience and previous success in Italy.

Born on March 28, 1993, in Las Matas de Farfán, Dominican Republic, García is a switch-hitter capable of playing multiple infield positions.

His history with Italian baseball began well before his 2026 move to Parma. García previously played for Imola and Fortitudo Bologna and was part of Bologna’s 2018 Italian championship team.

His return to Serie A Baseball therefore brought Parma a player already familiar with both the league and the pressure of competing for a Scudetto.

By the end of the 2026 season, the signing had become one of the most important moves behind another Parma championship.

Former MLB Player Becomes Serie A Baseball Finals MVP

García also brought Major League experience to Parma.

He appeared in 78 MLB games during his career, playing for the Chicago Cubs and Houston Astros.

Across those appearances, García recorded 31 hits, six home runs and 19 RBI in 178 at-bats. His Major League career included five home runs for the Cubs during the 2019 season.

He also accumulated significant experience in Minor League Baseball before continuing his career internationally.

That professional background proved valuable during Parma’s postseason.

García had already produced several important performances before the Italian Baseball Series, including multiple home runs during Parma’s playoff run.

His production continued when the championship was on the line.

Parma Clima Returns to the Top of Italian Baseball

The 2026 championship adds another major achievement to Parma’s extensive history.

Parma now owns 12 Italian championships, with the latest Scudetto arriving only two seasons after the club won the 2024 title.

That 2024 championship was also secured against San Marino, with Parma winning the series 4-1.

Two years later, the same final result appeared again.

The circumstances, however, were different. Parma had to recover from losing the opening game before producing four consecutive victories to close the series.

The response illustrated the depth and resilience of a championship roster.

Parma received important performances from its pitching staff, experienced hitters and supporting lineup throughout the postseason. Scotti’s six scoreless innings in Game 5 were critical, while Geraldo, García and several other hitters consistently created offensive pressure.

The result was one of the strongest finishes to an Italian baseball season in recent years.

Parma Clima Are the 2026 Serie A Baseball Champions

The final image of the 2026 Italian Baseball Series belonged to Parma Clima.

A 9-0 victory in Game 5, a 4-1 championship-series triumph and a 12th Scudetto officially returned Parma to the top of Serie A Baseball.

Robel García provided the individual highlight of the series and deservedly collected the Finals MVP award after hitting three crucial home runs.

But the biggest prize belonged to Parma Clima.

After four consecutive victories against San Marino, Parma finished the 2026 season as Italian baseball champions once again.
