Italian baseball at the top level
Italy is one of the traditional baseball powers of Europe. Clubs such as Parma, Nettuno, Grosseto, Bologna and San Marino have dominated the European Champions Cup for decades, and the national team regularly plays at the World Baseball Classic. Serie A Gold is where that tradition continues every summer.
How the Serie A Gold season works
The 10 clubs are split into Girone A and Girone B. Teams play within their own group and against the other group in the regular season, which ran from April 10 to July 25 in 2026. The top four of each group reach the quarterfinals, followed by the semifinals and the Italian Baseball Series, the final for the scudetto. The last-placed teams risk relegation to Serie A Silver.
Italian Baseball Series
Parma Baseball Club won the 2026 Italian Baseball Series 4-1 against San Marino Baseball.
