CBL news

A new name for a long tradition

The league grew out of the Intercounty Baseball League, one of the oldest baseball leagues in Canada, and turned professional as the Canadian Baseball League. Its clubs, from Toronto and Hamilton to London, Kitchener and Barrie, give Canadian players a professional stage close to home.

How the CBL season works

Each of the 9 clubs plays 48 regular-season games, from May 10 to August 30 in 2026. Five teams reach the playoffs: the fourth- and fifth-placed teams play a wild card game, followed by the best-of-seven semifinals and final.
