Béziers Pirates

The Béziers Pirates represent the city of Béziers in the French Division 1 baseball championship. The club's place among France's top eight teams is the product of years of rebuilding, investment in young players and a climb through the national divisions. From Local Club to the French Elite Founded in 1987 as Baseball Club Biterrois, the Pirates developed through regional competition before winning a national third-tier title in 2002. After a difficult period, the club rebuilt its senior program and youth pathway. Béziers reached Division 2 in 2019 and earned promotion to Division 1 after winning the 2024 Division 2 championship. That rise made the 2025 campaign a milestone: the Pirates were playing against the established powers of French baseball at the highest domestic level. In the 2025 Challenge de France, newly promoted Béziers also beat Rouen, then the reigning national champion. The result illustrated how far the club had come since its rebuilding years. Home Ground: Montflourès The Pirates play at the baseball facilities of the Plaine de Jeux de Montflourès in Béziers. The site has developed into a center for the club's senior and youth activities and has hosted national youth baseball events. Its dedicated baseball ground reflects the infrastructure work that accompanied the Pirates' competitive rise. Béziers Pirates in Division 1 Béziers now faces the challenge of sustaining its top-flight place while continuing to develop players locally.
