The Australian Baseball League has renewed its broadcast agreements with DAZN Japan and DAZN Taiwan for a second consecutive season, extending the league’s reach in two major baseball markets before the 2026–27 campaign opens on November 19.

  • DAZN Japan: 46 live ABL games with English commentary
  • Broadcast window: November 19 through December 28
  • DAZN Taiwan: Renewed for a second straight season
  • Season opener: Thursday, November 19

Asian player links add weight to the broadcast deal

The agreements arrive as ABL clubs prepare to host players from several leading Asian organizations during the first six rounds of the season. The Adelaide Giants will receive players from the Chiba Lotte Marines, while the Tokyo Yakult Swallows will send players to the Sydney Blue Sox.

The Perth Heat will welcome players from the Samsung Lions of the KBO, and players from the Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles and Yokohama DeNA BayStars are set to join the Brisbane Bandits. Those club connections give viewers in Japan and across the region a direct reason to follow the league.

DAZN Taiwan already carries the Chinese Professional Baseball League and streamed more than 800 Japanese professional baseball games in 2026. The renewed ABL agreement adds another winter competition to a baseball-heavy schedule.

ABL general manager Paul Gonzalez said the partnerships deepen the league’s links with two of Asia’s baseball heartlands and allow fans to follow the competition live throughout the season.

How to watch the 2026–27 ABL season

DAZN Japan’s 46-game package will run from opening day through December 28, with English-language commentary. DAZN Taiwan will also carry ABL games, subject to local availability.

The league’s broader international streaming plan puts all 78 regular-season games and the playoffs on Baseball+. One game per week will be available free, while full-season access requires a pass. ABL games will also be available through MLB.TV with a subscription.

The season spans 10 weekends and begins November 19. By returning to DAZN in both Japan and Taiwan, the ABL is pairing its Asian player-development relationships with a broadcast platform that can put those players—and the Australian clubs hosting them—in front of fans at home.
