2026 Major League Baseball Standings

Major League Baseball is divided into six divisions: the AL East, AL Central, AL West, NL East, NL Central and NL West.

Use the standings above to compare teams across every division and follow how each result affects the race for the postseason.

The three division winners in each league qualify for the playoffs, together with three Wild Card teams from both the American League and National League. The two highest-seeded division winners in each league receive a bye into the Division Series.

MLB Wild Card Standings

The MLB Wild Card standings become increasingly important as the regular season progresses.

Teams that do not win their division can still reach the postseason through one of three Wild Card positions in their league. The third division winner and three Wild Card teams compete in the best-of-three Wild Card Series, with the higher-seeded team hosting the series.
